Fibre Geeks is a Western Cape specialist that wires up gated communities and estates, often bundling in TV, CCTV and access control over the same fibre.
The story behind Fibre Geeks
Operating since around 2016, Fibre Geeks is a Cape Town open-access network that works closely with property developers on new builds, and runs its own peering and IP network. It provides the infrastructure; ISPs handle the retail.
How Fibre Geeks works
Fibre Geeks is an open-access network: it owns and maintains the fibre in the ground, but it doesn't sell you the internet directly. Instead, several independent ISPs ride the same line, and you choose which one to buy from, and you can switch ISP later without a new installation. That's why our coverage check shows the network at your address, then lets you compare the ISP packages on it by real monthly price.
Where Fibre Geeks reaches
Its footprint is the Western Cape, the Cape Town metro and surrounds, including areas like Table View, Blouberg and Stellenbosch, with a strong focus on estates and business parks.
Speeds & signing up
Packages span a wide ladder from around 20 Mbps up to 500 Mbps (with gigabit in select areas), through ISPs including Webafrica, RSAWEB, Cool Ideas, Cybersmart and MWEB. Check your address to compare.
