Privacy policy.
How FibreScout handles your information — in plain language, the way we wish everyone would.
Last updated · 15 June 2026
This is an illustrative privacy policy for the FibreScout concept. It explains, in principle, how a service like this should treat your data — independent, minimal, and POPIA-aligned.
What we collect
FibreScout is built to need as little of your data as possible. When you use the coverage check, we process the address or suburb you enter to look up available networks. You can compare deals without creating an account.
If you contact us, we keep the name, email and message you provide so we can reply. We also collect basic, anonymised usage analytics (pages viewed, device type) to improve the product.
How we use it
We use your information only to: run your coverage check, show relevant deals, respond to enquiries, and understand how the service is used in aggregate. We never sell your personal information.
Your rights (POPIA)
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these, email our team and we’ll respond within a reasonable period.
Retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it. We protect it with encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews.
