The terms of using FibreScout, how we keep prices honest, and exactly how we make money.

Price accuracy
The prices, speeds and package details on FibreScout are pulled automatically from providers' public sources and refreshed on a regular schedule. Because catalogues change often, what you see here can occasionally lag or be incorrect, so please treat it as a guide for comparison rather than a quote. The figure and terms a provider shows you when you sign up are always the ones that count — confirm there before you commit.
Commission & independence
FibreScout is free to use. We may earn a small commission when you sign up with some providers after following a link from our site. Links to other providers are unpaid.
This commission does not affect rankings, sort order, or which provider we recommend. You choose how results are ordered (by price, average price, or independent customer ratings), and our “Recommended” pick is simply the highest publicly-rated ISP available at your address — averaged across Google, Trustpilot and HelloPeter — not the provider that pays us.
Not advice
FibreScout is an independent comparison tool, not a fibre network, ISP, or financial/technical advisor. The information here is provided for general guidance only and does not constitute professional advice. Choosing a provider and package is your decision; check the provider's contract, coverage and terms first.
Coverage results
Coverage is resolved from network operators' own public checkers and may be approximate. A “live” or “coming soon” result is an indication, not a guarantee — actual serviceability at your exact premises is confirmed by the provider during their own feasibility check.
Third-party links
When you click through to a provider you leave FibreScout and that provider's own terms and privacy policy apply. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, availability or practices of third-party sites.
Limitation of liability
FibreScout is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information shown here, including pricing or coverage inaccuracies. Your sole remedy if you're unhappy with the service is to stop using it.
Intellectual property
Provider and network names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only; their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement. FibreScout's own content, design and code remain our property.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page is the current one. Questions? Reach us via the contact page or hello@fibrescout.co.za. See also our privacy policy.
